We worked closely with our clients on the interior design of Rock House, creating a holiday home that they can enjoy as a family. The property underwent extensive restoration, with sustainability at the heart of the renovation.
Rock House is a place for family time; for adventuring in the Lakes and coming back to a cosy fire, reading and playing games. Our design centred around creating a variety of spaces for conversation, to sit admiring the rural views, to escape to a library room for a moment’s peace and quiet, or to feast in the heart of the home around a large dining table.
We specified hard- wearing finishes throughout to withstand the test of time, celebrating our love of natural materials with a combination of stone and timber flooring throughout.
We worked with the best local suppliers and craftsmen, from kitchen and bathroom suppliers to local makers producing stunning bed throws using Cumbrian and Yorkshire wool. We aimed to design beautiful yet practical spaces for all the family. Colourful floor tiles add personality to the bathrooms and high- quality finishes throughout give the property the feel of understated luxury.
The final furnishings were then added by the clients themselves, making this space their home away from home. This property is also available for let should you wish to experience it first- hand and enjoy a luxury retreat in the Lake District.
