Georgian House

We took on this beautiful Grade I Listed property alongside local architects and contractors. Working with expert local craftsmen, we restored this Lake District home’s original Georgian character, ready to be enjoyed by another family for many decades to come.

We worked closely with our clients to restore and reintroduce character features, celebrating classic design through ceiling roses, cast iron radiators and panelling in the formal rooms, all in honour of the property’s history.

The brief was to create a family home where extended family and friends could gather and celebrate together, centred around a love of good music and conversation. We created opportunities for additional seating, including a built-in banquette in the kitchen, alongside a formal dining room, a formal lounge and a separate snug, whilst maximising sleeping capacity across the three floors.

We selected local materials, featuring local stone after discovering a family connection to a Lake District quarry, and created bespoke pieces alongside trusted suppliers and craftsmen from the area. Designed in a traditional style with opulent lighting, trims on soft furnishings, classic patterns, antique furniture and luxury materials — our signature earthy colour palette brings together a layered, authentic design that feels as though it has always been this way.
